THE FIRM OFFERS TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES EACH YEAR TO ASPIRING LAWYERS WHO WISH TO COMPLETE THEIR TRAINING AND QUALIFY AS KENYAN ADVOCATES OVER A MANDATORY TWO YEAR PUPILLAGE PROGRAMME.

To be considered for pupillage, you must be eligible to be admitted as a student at the Kenya School of Law “KSL” which requires that you have a Law Degree from a recognised university and be a citizen of Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania.

We recommend that you get in touch with the Kenya School of Law “KSL” in order to find out the current specific entry requirements.

You should apply in writing to KSL for admission. Admission to the School is for a period of one year from January to December. A Gazette notice will normally be issued indicating application deadlines. You will therefore need to apply well before then.

At Abidha & Co. Advocates pupillage is an intense two year Programme which includes the one year spent at KSL.

Pupils join us in January for one year after completing their year at KSL. We do provide our Pupils with an allowance during the pupillage period. We offer an exciting and rewarding programme where Pupils are mentored in both litigation and commercial departments to gain an all round hands on experience.

Interviews for pupillage take place on or about August each year. You should apply to us well before then as competition for places is stiff.

Pupillage applications should be addressed to the Pupillage Partner and must comprise your Curriculum Vitae and a covering letter. Your CV should include the formal requirements spiced with a personal touch and must state your: Citizenship; Education giving grades attained (provide copies of transcripts), Work experience, if any; Other relevant experience: (university positions, voluntary work, etc); Referees (from work or university only, must be or have been your direct supervisor).
